Scribbles: The Genius Of Sheldon Mayer - Part Three

Here's another Sheldon Mayer story, this one featuring Doodles Duck, from Peter Porkchops #48 (Feb-Mar. 1957). I like how Sheldon's artwork evolved over the years, especially his mastery of economy. Like Charles Schulz, Mayer is able to convey ( and evoke in the reader) all kinds of emotions with a few simple pen strokes, yet there is no mistaking the unique Sheldon Mayer style. Enjoy!
