Truth in Madvertising

Here is a baker's dozen advertising parodies from various early issues of Mad Magazine, the most important magazine ever produced. I think sometimes it's easy to forget how instrumental Mad has been in diffusing some of the propaganda that is constantly about in this age of mass communication. How much gullible would we be as a people if this great institution did not exist to remind us that we can't believe everything we see or hear. Silly kid's stuff? Not by a long shot.
