Snuffy Smith Goes To War

Thunderation! In these wartime Barney Google strips, mountain man Snuffy Smith is more often referred to as "Yard Bird" Smith. Although signed Billy DeBeck, at least some (if not all) of the work on these strips must be credited to his then-assistant Fred Lasswell, who inherited the strip after Debeck's death from cancer in 1942.
