Airline Comment Card Fail

Here's a bizarre news item.

Hmmm...how do I feel about this?

Obviously, I think Johnson's actions were inappropriate. A comment card is no place to write what reads like a personal flight-of-fancy, an entry in a blog. Perhaps Mr. Johnson was merely attempting to deal with his anxiety by escaping into familiar pop culture territory. My instincts tell me he at no time meant to cause malice.

I think the crew might have overreacted, but I don't think they can be blamed for being overly cautious in this current climate.

Still, I hope the judge is very lenient with him. Twenty years in prison is a long time for nervously evoking Gilligan's Island.
